The medical miracles associated with resveratrol continue to astound. To name some:
Late last year (2019) I wrote a report entitled RESVERATROL UNCHAINED: Is Resveratrol A Miracle Molecule? Six resveratrol miracles were mentioned: 1) cancer destroyer; 2) metabolic regulator; 3) Recovery of memory; 4) Heart attacks without damage; 5) Restoration of sight to the near blind; and 6) stem cells. An earlier report described how resveratrol mimics estrogen and performs real miracles.
Resveratrol overcomes blockages or narrowing of coronary arteries by creation of co-lateral circulation, akin to bypass surgery. You won’t hear about this from cardiologists.
Resveratrol inexplicably inhibits new blood vessels in the retina while simultaneously creating new blood vessels in the heart.
Now two more miracles have recently been reported:
As evidence in the battle against the COVID-19 coronavirus it has become evident individuals over 80 years of age are particularly vulnerable to infection and mortality. Why is this? T-cells produced in the thymus gland effect a cure for this viral infection. T-cells are produced in the thymus gland. This gland progressively shrinks as humans age, impairing the ability to produce T-cells. Researchers now show that resveratrol helps to increase T-cells and restore function to the thymus gland in experimental animal studies.
Spinal cord injury is a tragic traumatic irreversible condition that often results in paralysis of the arms and legs. Researchers packed resveratrol inside small intercellular vesicles known as exosomes. These exosomes facilitate resveratrol’s transport past the blood brain barrier and into nervous system cells. Exosome-delivered resveratrol has been shown to assist the rehabilitation of spinal cord damaged animals under experimental conditions. Researchers conclude “exosomes + resveratrol are highly effective at crossing the blood brain barrier” to achieve recovery of nerve function.
