Longevity researchers recently reviewed 7 studies that compared resveratrol to a calorie restricted diet in mice. They concluded resveratrol only moderately mimics some of the aspects of a lifespan-doubling limited calorie diet and produces inconsistent results in humans.
In 2004 the world heard of the promise of super-longevity achieved via a small molecule found in red wine. Our genes are modifiable, they are not fixed. Humans can even reverse biological versus calendar aging.
In 2006 resveratrol was shown to improve the health and survival of laboratory mice on a high-calorie diet.

The risk of having a heart attack is a whopping 37 percent higher on Christmas Eve, peaking at 10 p.m., according to a study published in the British Medical Journal.
The study that revealed this was conducted in Sweden where vodka and brannvin (wine fermented from grain or potatoes) are traditionally consumed. It is fermented red grape wine that is attributed to fewer heart attacks.
It was Dr. Serge Renaud of France who in 1992 first reported the wine drinking French who have higher levels of cholesterol paradoxically have a much lower rate of coronary artery disease and mortal heart attacks (40%) compared to North America. This phenomenon is called the French Paradox. Dr. Renaud attributed wine’s heart protective properties to its ability to inhibit blood clots, not cholesterol.

Since viruses cannot be grown in a lab dish (that is because viruses can only replicate inside a living cell), they cannot be cultured and multiplied in a lab dish like a bacteria sample. So, the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test is utilized and is the standard test to confirm COVID-19 infection today.
PCR involves a method to rapidly produce millions to billions of copies of a specific DNA sample sufficient enough for analysis.
The PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test is the standard for diagnosis of COVID-19.

Here’s the latest anti-aging news headline:
Scientists ‘successfully REVERSE human ageing process’:
oxygen treatment altered elderly people’s bodies at a cellular level to how they were 25 years earlier, researchers claim.
Researchers claim intermittent HYPERBARIC OXYGEN (high pressure oxygen chambers) lengthens end caps (telomeres) on chromosomes by 20-38% while senescent cells lost 11%-37% of telomere length.
In the early 1990s another researcher successfully tested the exact opposite – – intermittent HYPOBARIC conditioning (oxygen deprivation) to achieve optimal physical and mental human performance and reversed markers of human aging. Hypobaric oxygen therapy was explained in the book ADAPTIVE PROTECTION OF THE HEART by Felix Z. Meerson, a Moscow-based biologist who later emigrated to the U.S.
Felix Meerson was known for his instruction of Olympic athletes to “train high” (altitude) and compete low (altitude).

COVID-19 is an emerging highly transmissible coronavirus that causes high mortality among those individuals of advanced age.
While it is widely reported the COVID-19 coronavirus infection strikes older individuals who are most vulnerable to it and subsequent hospitalization and death, it is also widely known that senior adults experience more severe bouts of infectious disease and do not respond well to vaccination. Efforts to prevent or slow aging should follow.

Some 33 years ago researcher John Pezzuto searched the world for the most potent natural molecules that quell cancer, and among 30,000 molecules studied his striking recommendation was to study resveratrol, known as a red wine molecule, because of its ability to block all three stages of cancer – – initiation, growth and metastasis (spread) – – something no cancer drug can do. Only now is the scientific world beginning to recognize the powerful anti-cancer activities of resveratrol.
The most potent weapon against cancer inside your body is a population of white blood cells called natural killer (NK) cells. These NK cells work directly on roaming cancer cells by injecting a toxin into the tumor cell and killing it. The strikingly destructive effect of NK cells on cancer cells is demonstrated in the following video.

So, here is an important report for resveratrol users. Resveratrol, but not curcumin – – a widely-sold remedy for joint pain, reduces inflammation and muscle loss among laboratory animals with experimentally-implanted tumors. End of story.
At this current moment in time, who cares? COVID-19 coronavirus may kill us before we ever get cancer.
Today Americans live with fear in their hearts, fear of an invisible virus that threatens everyone’s lives. At least that is what public health officials have stated.
It would be nice to take an anti-aging pill but right now humanity has to dodge an immediate viral bullet headed its way. Fortunately, resveratrol doesn’t disappoint.

They call it idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), meaning scarring of the lungs of unknown origin. It is also very common for known reasons, such as smoking tobacco. Pulmonary fibrosis of known origin is now being detected among many post-hospitalized and non-hospitalized patients who have experienced COVID-19 lung infections. As more and more people recover from COVID-19 coronavirus infections, there is growing concern their lungs may be scarred for life. Pulmonary fibrosis is thought to be irreversible.
There are other known and obviously unknown causes of lung fibrosis. IPF represents a mortal threat beyond the immediate period of lung infection and recovery.
Smokers whose lungs have been infected with COVID-19 coronavirus and now exhibit fibrosis (scarring) are of acute concern.
Rehabilitation centers are being opened specifically to address IPF in post-COVID-19 patients. Strikingly, by some estimates, 20% to 60% of coronavirus-infected patients experience some form of lung fibrosis!

Cancer cells are cunning. They evade the immune system via a protein called PD-L1 that hides cancer cells from tumor-attacking cells like neutrophils, macrophages that digest malignant cells, and natural killer cells that literally blow up cancerous cells. Inhibition of PD-L1 is essential for cancer immunotherapy to work.

Without a proven vaccine, vaccine-reliant human populations remain vulnerable to COVID-19 coronavirus lung infections. Maybe even vaccines won’t be able to conquer COVID-19. Vaccine makers haven’t been able to obtain licensure of a coronavirus vaccine in over a decade.
Operation Warp Speed to fast-track a COVID-19 vaccine may be met with disappointment say some experts. Humanity may be holding its breath for a vaccine that may never materialize. A spokesperson for The World Health Organization stated in July that “a coronavirus vaccine will not be available this year.” But there is political and financial pressure to take shortcuts, skip Phase 3 testing, show the vaccine produces antibodies equivalent to natural exposure, and start Phase 4 widespread immunization.
Oh, a COVID-19 vaccine may gain licensure, but will it be safe and effective when so many shortcuts are being taken?
